Our achievements
3.1 In order to build digital Bangladesh, the government formed the Information and Communication Technology Department under the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology in 2021 with the aim of turning the country into a knowledge based society and middle income country by 2021. The Information and Communication Technology Department was formed under the Ministry of Postal, Telecommunication and Information Technology, reconstituted in 28 with a view to accelerate the pace of development of information technology. The department is implementing various projects and programs to create employment opportunities, develop infrastructure, establish connectivity, develop ICT industry and innovate new services and create ICT education by creating skilled human resources in the ICT sector.
6.1 In order to reach the civil service field level of the Information and Communication Technology Department, a Department of Information and Communication Technology comprising three technical posts has been set up in 25. On July 1, 20 (two hundred) technical knowledge manpower was deployed in different districts and upazilas on July 1. A further 12 manpower structures have been approved whose recruitment process is underway. It will be easier for the government to provide ICT related services at the field level if this recruitment process is completed. This will make it easier to provide hassle-free services to the public.
6.2 Development of National Infra-Network for Bangladesh Government (BanglaGovNet) through various Ministries / Departments of Dhaka, with network connectivity between 5 Ministries / Departments, 223 Departments / Departments, 5 District and 8 Upazila Level Offices. The optical fiber deployment has been completed. Through the continuation of the BanglaGovNet project, the work of connecting 5 government offices located in 4 districts and 4 upazilas under the same network has been completed through the Info-sarker-II project. Using this network, the Video Conferencing System has been launched in five important districts and districts. Tablet PCs have been distributed among 25 thousand (twenty-five thousand) government officials to keep government officials connected online at all times. Wi-Fi connection has been established at Bangladesh Secretariat and Bangladesh Computer Council.
 
In order to expand the Internet connectivity at the union level, the activities of setting up of optical fiber networks have been undertaken in 20 unions under the Info-Sarkar Phase-1 project. And through the Establishing Digital Connectivity Project, programs have been taken to establish optical fiber networks and provide Internet services to all public private establishments across the country.
 
3.1 A Tier-3 quality data center has been set up in the BCC building to conserve data of various ministries / departments / institutions in an electronic manner. Also a Tier-4 quality data center has been set up at Kaliakair High-Tech Park. Disaster Recovery Center has been set up at Jessore Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park.

The Janata Tower Software Technology Park, located in the Caravan Bazaar, has been officially launched. Already, space allocation has been provided to 4 (seventeen) IT companies. Work has been taken to set up the Mohakhali IT Village on that acre. The project has been taken to set up a single design IT park in 12 places of the country. In addition, the project for setting up of three IT training and incubation centers has been adopted. The government has already issued three SROs of special incentive packages for developers and investors at Hitech Park.
4.1 Out of the 5 Free-Lancers set up under the Learning and Earning Development Project, 20,6 women have already been trained on Basic ICT leteracy. Through this project, more than 20 youths / youths will be trained on Basic ICT Training this year and 4 Science Graduates on Advanced Outsourcing. Through this project, mobile ICT training bus (Caravan Bus) has already been purchased to enhance the skills of women in ICT. The bus will have all the training equipment so that the upazila / union level educated youths will get the opportunity to receive ICT training while sitting on the bus. There are plans to bring about 5 women under the training program this year.
3.2. Under the project titled "Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance", necessary activities have been undertaken to create 5.6 IT professionals. Five people have already been trained as part of the Fast Track Future Leader build. Apart from the selected 5 Science Graduates, 5 have been trained as part of IT Top Up Training and 20 out of the 20,7 selected as part of Foundation Skill Training. Further, for the purpose of establishing e-Governance, 5,700
